NEW YORK - Sep. 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ - The Israel Ministry of Tourism today unveiled new records for tourist arrivals to Israel from the United States in July and august. The country welcomed 78,000 Americans during July 2022. It was a four percent increase over 2019 and 71,000 tourists from the United States visited Israel in August 2022.
Eyal Carlin was the North American Tourism Commissioner for North America. "It is thrilling to see a new growth in tourism to Israel from the United States. Already reaching the record-breaking numbers in 2019," he stated. "The United States is our number one market for Israel's inbound tourism. Canada, not too far behind that of the United States of America, is set to beat the number of tourists visiting Israel. It had 7,200 visitors in July 2022 and 6,000 in August.
